Description

First Officer Lynn Rippelmeyer at the loading stairs of a Seaboard World Airline Boeing 747. In 1980, Rippelmeyer was the first woman to fly as a pilot on the Boeing 747. She later was hired by People Express Airlines, where she was a co-captain of the first all-female crew on a Boeing 737 in 1982.
