The caption read, "Amelia, still wearing her leather flying suit, tired but triumphant, upon completion of her Atlantic Ocean solo. Credit: Smithsonian Institution" This caption, indicating the photo was taken in May on 1932, contradicts the 1936 inscription on the the photograph's bottom margin.
