Scott was the first female test pilot and the first women to fly long distance in America. Adams was the first women to fly across the Atlantic as a passenger aboard the Graf Zeppelin, and she was the first woman to fly aboard the Dornier DO-X. Adams was one of eleven women aboard the maiden flight of the Hindenburg.
