Louise Sacchi and Her Aerial Map

Louise Sacchi was the first international ferry pilot, and she formed her own ferrying business. Pictured here is Sacchi standing in front of her aerial map, showing the paths she flew all over the world for her business. She marked her routes and places she visited on the map with remnants of rickrack. Members of her Ninety-Nines chapter retrieved the map and took it for professional conservation treatment. It is now on display at the International Women's Air and Space Museum.
